![]() ![]() Gabe Newell said it best: money steers the community. Remember that Activision also owns King, which has gotten addictive-mobile games down to a shocking science and pulls every right move to make their games more attractive, even if it means losing a buck or two in the short-run they made 40 billion dollars in the last quarter of 2017, so I think they won't mind taking a few small risks if it's in the interest of earning more money later. I can guarantee you that making Blops III DLC free was tested and investigated by their marketing to see if it would possibly increase sales by making them seem generous or using Blops III as a way to get the PC CoD community up and running again. That would require Activision | Blizzard actually caring much about their consumers or being interested in making pro-consumer decisions and being concerned with their community. If we as a community are vocal enough maybe they will do this faster than you think If Activison would pull this off i feel like the gaming industry would praise Activision for doing something good for once, after for example bundeling MWR with IW and then releasing it for 40, making the Variety DLC more expensive on the Remaster and everyone can make a list of 1000 pages long of things Activision did wrong (same with other AAA companies). The games are dead and the amount of people buying DLC are almost 0 for these games. DLC delivers a lot of content, it is a shame no one plays it. If the DLCs would be made free, there will be more variety within the games. Nobody buys the DLC anymore and neither does anyone play them. Zombies) Meaning that the following games' base DLC will become free: These include the extra content that is also availible in other modes outside of Multiplayer (e.g. would make ALL DLC map packs free for the CoDs that aren't on the current-gen consoles (Backwards compatability doesn't count). However, the community would really appreciate it if Activision Blizzard inc. This was one step in the right direction. Activision made MP DLC free for Black Ops III for the PC, showing that they kind of have a heart left for the community (or rather Treyarch pushed it onto Activision). ![]()
